BUILDING AN INTEGRATED LCD ILLUMINATOR FOR THE CANON
EOS A2E USING WHITE LEDS

Background Information: Many cameras with LCD displays have electro-luminescent backlit screens for viewing in the dark. The A2E does not. This modification addresses the shortcoming by using white LEDs to illuminate the LCD display. Monochromatic LEDs can be used but white LEDs are used here because they will provide better definition.

 

<due to the complexity of this modification, this write-up will be delayed until I obtain a 2nd camera capable of macro photography to provide illustrations for the procedures>
